Struts for BDS kit

I've found a really good deal on a 2" BDS kit installed... I had previously been trying to decide between that and the Rusty's kit.

My concern is whether or not I should add some new front struts to the tab. My Rennie has 56k miles on it, but very little wear (previous owner didn't offroad).

Should I replace the struts while we're at it, and if so... what would be a good match with the BDS kit? Economical is important, but quality is more important.

Might as well install the struts at the same time, not like you'd be paying anymore in labor...it's all parts.

I'm guessing they probably carry ranchos... I guess I just need a slightly taller strut and forgo the extenders right?

If going with the Ranchos just get the regular ones RSX 17505................extenders???????

not sure what you are talking about there. Does the kit come with new rears shocks as well??

Extenders or whatever the BDS kit employs to utilize your factory strut.

I guess if you eliminate that piece, you need to go with a strut suitable for a 2" lift.

Yes, the kit comes with rear shocks.

You use the stock lenghth struts any ways so not sure what they are using will have to look this one up, not too many people run that lift Oh they just use an upper strut bracket so again you are just using stock struts but it would be good to upgrade to Ranchos or OMEs

Well, they want to use the adapter that comes with the kit and use a stock length strut, but I've heard other users talk of swapping struts, so I was wondering if they've used longer struts without the extension.

no problem being new, yes they are using their top plate which is fine no problems there and then say if you use the Rancho 17505 which are stock struts and they will work fine, so no problems there either! When they people who you have heard swapped struts it was for aftermarket ones such as Ranchos or OMEs. I know of only one person who used a different longer strut and all he knew was it was off a mini van and since he is no longer with us we may never know what he used for sure! The extension is not really an extension if what they are using is what is in the picture its just a top plate that moves the top of the strut out some

So, no matter what strut is being used... keep the BDS strut bracket is the way to go.

Sounds like I should shop around for a deal on those 17505's

Correct let them use the plates in the kit and upgrade your struts
