How much is this lift supposed to cost?

For the CRD it is just under $800.00 from AllJs...includes the four springs and 2 struts/2shocks (the Long Travel Ones). For a gasser you can shop around for different springs (Med or HD)... All I can say is that the OME Struts/Shocks really helped out in the ride department.

pretty much everyone will say med and some will say HD and I plan on going HD when I buy mine but i also have a metal bumper

Well, I dont every really plan on doing any major off roading.........would the Rusty's coil kit be the way to go($465)?

No just go with the OMEs if you want to save a bit of coin and not go all OME then shop around for springs should be $200 or so for them and then you can go with rancho shocks/struts etc and still have a great ride and be better in the long run. End up with about the same price as Rustys but better quality springs/ shocks since Rustys shocks do not fit well.

The wife has this lift on her '03 KJ ,DD with all OE bumpers and skids with a home built tranny skid Med springs ride 10X better than stock with ~35k on it with Rancho struts and OME shocks I got the pcs. from 2 places springs and shocks from Rustys Offroad 100 a pair for springs and ,IIRC, $40 each for the shocks so what $280 + shipping then I got the struts from All J's $80 each + shipping so what $440 + shipping total cost you can fit 245/75's on OE wheels with some slight trim/heat gun work and pound the pinch That should cover it all

Rancho struts for the front are just the regular for a Liberty RSX 17505 and rears are the RSX 17004 these are listed for a Dakato pickup 4WD I think 97 to 04 ?? Tom

Some say the HDs are too rough but not sure if they even ever rode in one so equipped? ARB suggests mediums unless you are putting on a bumper and winch, WITH THAT SAID I ran mine for a couple of weeks and even went from Toledo to Orlando before the bumper was installed and it done fine. Out on the highway it rides as good as anything out there. Driving over Toledos holes, I mean streets it does just as good, I can take railroad track faster now than when stock USMARINE1171 You are not that far away if you are in detroit so if you want to go for a ride let me know before you choose Tom

That's good to know it was still pretty sturdy. I'll have to shoot you a message before I buy the HD setup, but it's gonna take me a couple months for my finances to recover after the wheels and rims. The HD setup definitely sounds like a better long-term investment.

I don't "feel" anything when I hit holes, etc. so I don't foresee any issues with floating off the road (unintentionally). STEVE

When I asked this question before, ARBSeth told me to go with Light springs (model 925, I believe) springs up front and Medium in the rear (947). Stock bumper here. No plans to go heavier.

The wife and I took the "back way" to the store yesterday which involved going over whoopdie-doo's on what is basically an ATV trail through soft sand. The light front springs handle the whoops real well. There is no excessive bouncing like there was with stock suspension. In fact, there was no bouncing at all, just a nice smooth ride. At first I was leary of going with the light front springs. But, the ride is much better than stock without being stiff. I don't even have to slow down for the drain throughs across the paved roads like I did with the stock suspension. If you have no plans to opt for a heavier bumper or winch, the light/medium combo does work well.
