Post subject:  KJ 05 ARB front bullbar bumper installation

Does anyone know how to install the ARB front bullbar for a KJ '05 :?:
Some pictures or diagram?

A guy sold to me and ARB but there is no instruction on it...and this guy is not available anymore  , is the ARB bolted where the tow hooks are??
Any special condition, care, etc.?

I will appreciate any help....

Thanks

I would imagine the tow hooks are going to have to come out so you can utilize that anchor point

Yeah, and also i think some flare trimming is required, not exactly sure, check the Tech section for an installation guide

tow hooks will have to go.

you have to remove the entire front fascia to bolt the arb sub frame on the the kj sub frame

then bolt the bumper skin onto the arb sub frame.

are you sure you got all the hardware that originally came with the bumper ?

should have come in a white plastic pouch.

i put it on my 05 renny myself

no fender trimming is necessary, the tow hooks come out and there are 4 pieces you insert into the front of the body to mount on the large bumper holding bracket

after that make sure you get some help or use a jack to get the bumped seated correctly on the mount as the first time i did it mine drooped a little down (you can tell when you look at the gap around the flares and headlamp, bumper should be flush to the bottom of the headlamp recession on the grill, i think the measurement for the gap near the flares was 2cm, mine was slightly more but it was a consistent measurement)

you have to drill a few holes as well, i think i used a 3/4 inch drillbit, but i cant remember too well (all the arb hardware is in mm)

I bet you can find the install book online in PDF format somewhere if you search for it
