Brush guards....they go over the standard front bumper, not looking for a replacement for the front bumper...just a guard for it...local 4 Wheel Parts store called me wondering what companies made brush guards for the Liberty's...they had a customer call in looking for one and they tried Westin but saw it was for 02-04 only. A friend of mine works at 4WP and they know I drive a after market filled KJ so I reckon they thought I knew of some companies. The only one I could think of was the TJM guard and Westin, until they told me about the years allowed for it. Hmmmm?

They have something called a brush guard. But it is cheap piece of cr@*. Cosmetic at best, at worst it is more of a problem because when it does not do it's job, more damaged to your front end will be the result.

Same goes for their side or rock rails. CHEAP thin walled aluminum.

I have seen brush guards from a few companies, westin, manik, mopar, and a few others. I like the manik bar the best, I had one on my Pathfinder and loved it, I hit a Olds going right on his front axle and the mechanics said the only reason the pathfinder wasn't totaled was b/c the brush guard, and it left a perfect imprint on side of the Olds. I have been looking into a bull bar but most of what i have found have been chrome and that no good for me I would like something in black, and would like to keep my front tow hooks. has anyone been able to put a brush guard or bull bar on and found a way to keep the front tow hooks.

X2. I would like the same but wouldn't mind chrome as long as I can still have the tow hooks.

I'm hoping to fab up a suitably strong bull bar / receiver (for winch mount) and be able to mount my factory tow hooks to it.

It's a daunting task... but I think I'll have some good help. I'm hoping to get something at least started during the christms week.
