Yet another lift question. However, this one is more towards the price aspect.

Right now I am debating between the OME/Rancho lift, and the BDS lift. I really can't decide. I've laid down the prices, done A LOT of bargain hunting, and this is what it comes out to...

OME/Rancho:
1. RSX17505 Struts - JBA - $172
2. RSX17004 Shocks - Summit - $124 (Shipped with my new wheels)
3. OME HD Springs - JBA - $318
4. Terraflex Bumpstops - JBA - $46
- Comes out to around $660 ($690 or so shipped). Shipping from AllJ all the way to North Carolina was just too expensive, even though the parts were cheaper. I was also thinking about the OME N132 shocks from Rusty's, they're only $40 a piece, but I'm not sure how much shipping is...

BDS:
1. BDS Lift Kit - $474
2. RSX 17505 Struts - JBA - $172
3. Terraflex Bumpstops - JBA - $46
- Comes out to around $692, haven't calculated shipping.

Do you guys think that it would just be a better idea to go with the OME/Rancho, or the BDS? The BDS one has a great warranty, and I have read about a couple of people choosing the BDS over OME/Rancho even though it's priced slightly higher with the right parts.

Sorry that I'm so nitpicky about prices, I just have a bunch of expenses going into this, and I have to do it now... So I'm somewhat on a budget. The shipping prices vary so much, it's become annoying... But if anyone has any other better priced parts from somewhere else, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

I have a BDS distributor next to me and they quoted me 320 and change for the front springs and up[per strut plate and the rear springs. Am going to go that way and go rancho all the way around when the time comes. Call BDS and see if there is someone in your area that is a distributor and try to save on the shipping costs.

Haha, I know which lift JSC is all about... He was the one who helped me get THIS far... OME all the way from him.

But the closest BDS distributor is an hour away, and shipping I found out is $50... So it just all depends...

BDS has a higer spring rating. thats not why I went with it. I went with it becasue the Price. I even used the stock front shocks and have had no problems and have gone about 20k with it. It was A LOT cheaper than what you are getting quoted.

My price is coming from the website, I don't know where else to look for the BDS lift. Oh and PoorMtnkid, did you get front/rear bumpstops as well?

I got the front. Not the rear. I think total on mine I spent less than 550. I did not use their shocks either. I went to a Napa Auto parts and ordered some shocks that are made by the same compnay that make Ranchos.

the front is really all you need to buy the rears can be made from hockey pucks or a rubber mallet, for just a couple dollars.

I am amazed anyone would consider something other than the constantly prove OME, for the same or even close pricing. Read the hundreds of posts on here, they are on there for a reason. My ride with my OME CRD HD's is much better than stock, and it is a great off-road edition. Not to mention it will hold up when I get the front bumper on there, I know the BDS claims higher spring rates, but OME is well-proven to work with a great ride as well.

Just being curious... Cause BDS has a pretty awesome warranty, good spring rating, and I would use Rancho Struts instead of the strut bracket thing they give you. I just want to consider all options, and get some good advice on it before. I personally think they are both great looking kits, it seems like it's mostly up to preference.

If you buy the BDS from 4wd you get 10% off.

This site definitely leans toward OME without a doubt. I have the BDS lift and am really enjoying it with no issues at all. I think both are great, but in the end I decided to go with BDS. The warranty and customer service from BDS won me over in the end. Either way, I think you will enjoy it. Good luck. :D

How much lift exactly did you get out of BDS? It says 2", but OME says like 1.5" or something, and you get 2.5" from that. Still haven't quite decided, and I'm sure some people think I'm an idiot for that... I just can't seem to get the BDS out of my mind, haha.
