from what i have seen, the few people who have installed the rc lift seem to think that it is not that great. what if you installed the rc lift with jeepin al's control arms would that help or would the lift still be trash.
when i talked to one of the reps at rc he said that they have never experienced cv issues with the 03-05 and that only the 02's where the one's that wouldn't work due to them being 1 inch higher than the 03-05.
what do u guys think???

Post subject:  Control Arms and lifts

I am not really to familiar with the RC lift. All lifts around the 3 inch mark will make your CV complain. Mine have been complaining for the last 50K (installation of my first lift Daystar orig 3" pucks). They have been popping and grinding for ever since. I guess I am living on borrowed time.

My A-arms will not help the CV joint. For that I am waiting for JE REEL to get their new HD CV joints to market. This weekend I am going to snip the small steel bands off the CV boots and pump some grease into the boot, and use a small hose clamp to clamp the boot down again. This may help with the CV bind, and add some life to the lifetime lube (?) the joints have from the factory.

If you are planning to 3 inches or better I would contact Rusty's and get a set of his rear lower arms. They are adjustable, flex well, and you can adjust the pinion angle to hold the vibrations to a minimum.

Lifting the '04's and 05's with some of the "larger" lift kits such as the Skyjacker seem to work well.

An early 02, such as mine is a different animal, they are 1 inch higher than the new ones, and the joints really complain when lifted with a 3 inch kit.

Hope this helps a little.

Guys were complaining that they were changing their upper a-arms, such as myself, every 10-20K miles (on lifted Libertys), at $200 a set, it was getting expensive. So I made this set up, and guys were asking me sell them, so I found a welder/machine shop and the rest is history. I have sold 4 sets so far.

Visit my web site, enjoy the photos, than PM or e-mail me with any other questions!
