| Post subject: | 07 Liberty Transmission Problems ?? |
How many 07 Liberty owners have had problems with the 42LRE transmission ?? The reason I bring this during my research on 08 Liberty AND Nitros, I discovered some early manufactured 07 Nitros have had a very significant number of torque convertor failures and other transmission problems with the 42LRE. Read for yourselves here.... http://www.nitroforumz.com/showthread.php?t=796 Since Nitros are "supposedly" manufactured alongside Libertys, there MUST be some 07 Libertys affected by these problems as well. |

Other than the blasted hesitations between 1,500 to 2,000 rpm, not a single issue. 9,600 miles on mine so far. QUESTION; and possible Hyjack, Sorry: Do the Nitros NOT have a dip stick like the Liberty's? I cannot find anybody to tell me why there is no tranny dip stick on my 07. There is on the wife's 02 Is there a connection here? the manufacturer wants us to return to the stealership and remain under there watchfull (greedy) eye? |

Lets hope for their sake they don't get the same solution as the CRDs, to detune the engine to a degree they feel will keep the tranny going until our warranties expire. |

The shift kit helped the hesitation that you are talking about. |

ding ding ding! you got it! the stealer wants you to bring it in to get the trans serviced and so then they can find another $1000 worth of not needed repairs! |

My tranny went at 47K miles on my '05 Liberty. The dealer installed both a new tranny & transfer case cause both went. |
