Something like this would work on our KJs, right?, well prolly not these exact ones but Im thinking that I could prolly make some, and use some 12 screws to hold it on and spread the weight, but they are nice, simple and have a low profile what do ya think?

I saw those a few days ago as well. They might be alright but, I wouldn't want to come down on them very hard at all. I did this to a set of Rock Lizard's Skinks. KJ's are heavy!

I'd be hesitant to drill holes in a Jeep's rockers...Jeep rockers tend to rust out with no aftermarket holes in em...

Ya know, I was thinking about this just yesterday! I see wranglers ALL THE TIME with very very similar set ups. I hate the fact that my sliders steal so much clearance...
But, I would maybe try to build off of what you have picture there and take it back to the frame rail somehow so its supported somewhere else.

couldnt you just goop some silicone along the edge of the rocker guard to keep water out? might help...

You could but you'd want a way for any water to get out that does get in there or you'll really have a rust problem.

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I was looking for sliders. No one makes them so that it doesnt take clearance away so I just made my own.

If you know someone that welds its not that hard. Chop saw and some clamps. Just cut what you need, clamp it together, then have it welded. Good weekend project. :)

I have a plasma and a welder.... and I live in ohio.... I'm stil trying to make some sliders for my libby, but it's been tough between the move and being out of town every week since....
I live in chardon.

And SoCal: Sweet is still in existance here in the Midwest. What is the new buzzword on the left coast? BY the time it's old there it will be all the rage here.

Sliders are on my list, but they are probably last on the list. I'm in Parma, so if you come up with something, and it would be stronger than the MOPARs . . . well, I'd rather pay you than Chrysler.
