Just found out that Daystar has ceased production of the Liberty Spacer lift. Called several vendors and none that I called had any in stock, and I was the 1st who told them it will no longer be available. Does anyone have a line on a vendor/shop who has this lift available and on the shelf??? So, I was gonna go with the 4wd Hardware coil lift. Front shock are optional, so I'm wondering besides the obvious, whats different between the two styles. I see alot more spacer lifts, and was just wondering.

First I've heard of this... Did you check with All J's? They are still advertised on their site.

A spring lift is better than a spacer, though you have to watch what the rates re on your new spring so make sure you won't have any issues with sagging. You are seeing more spacer lifts than spring lifts simply because they are cheaper. But they don't improve the ride, or handling of the jeep at all.

FIRST you have a diesel, so 4 wheel drive harware spring lift is OUT! You want to install a lift with springs that are higher rated than what you have. Check around for Daystar there has to be some on a shelf somewhere OR Wait a better idea.....get the OME 790s which are made for Diesels also ALWAYS replace your shocks while you are doing it, only one time to do it right

I know that was just a typo, didn't want a newb to read this and get confused. A higher spring rate is a better idea when changing your springs, especially when your adding some weight (bumper, winch, gear, etc..)

If this is true, how will they make the Frankenlift??

Yeh, I have not confirmed this by talking direct to Daystar yet. But seems that alot of the vendors (such as jeeperz) who don't keep inventory have a 30day order delivery time. So, maybe the manufature has limited production to ready-made orders only. I heard about the the dicontinuation from Autoanything from who I ordered and payed for the kit thru, after which I was told by both the local and catalog 4Wheel Parts that it was not available and on special order only with 3-4weeks est. on delivery.

I will call and check with AllJ's tomorrow, as I want to know for a fact that it's in stock and available before I order.

Daystar still shows the Diesel kit on their website. It is PN: KJ09123BK. It is only listed as a 1.5" lift for the diesel models.

Look here: http://www.daystarweb.com/productdetail ... ductID=370

OME 790's and get the OME front struts
The Ranchos are great for the gassers - but the valving doesn't work as well with the Diesel.

(The Ranchos are fine for the rear - not much of a weight difference there)

Ok, just got off the phone with Daystar. The kit is still in production, just that the part# has changed due to deleting the shock boots.

Which part number were you looking for to begin with?

Come to find out, that the sales person inputed the wrong part# and almost sold me the gas version lift kit. That is the kit which changed. When I called them back and gave them the correct # for the diesel, they had what I needed. But it's too late to ge shipped in time and make it into the shop thursday.

On a 2nd note..................I decided to just get the complete set of OME coils, and be done with it. So now my question is this:

Is it ok to run stock front coil-overs with the new/longer OME spring? I already have longer shocks for the rear.

Stock front coilovers ? do you mean the front shocks? If so then I would say no, if you're doing that much just do it all the first time and then you don't have to worry , If they have over 30,000 they are pretty much shot anyways

Just for my own curiosity, do you know which part number changed? And why the heck would they remove the shock boots? That seems odd...

You won't believe how lucky you just got. The DIESEL kit is the 1,5"/2" which I have and you would hate it.

Yeh! In fact, it was your thread post bout how you hated the kit and how it causes extreme coil bind and harsh riding, that got me to cancel the order.
