RAYMAN975, Non lifted & NO rubbing? 245/70/16 + Nonlifted = No rubbing 245/75/16 = Lifted = rubbing Is this correct? |

i have been told im not prelowered, but im not sure. i think my build date was may or june of 02, ill have to check it again and there is rubbing, but absolutely nothing to worry about, the rear at full stuff rubs the flares barely, and the front at FULL(and i mean FULL lock to where if your sitting there still, you have to HOLD the wheel at FULL lock for it to touch, before it "bounces" back that little bit, if that makes sense lol) lock just barely touches behind the foglight door, just enough to wipe the dirt off the plastic |

hey yeah I'm under warranty too (transferred from the prev owner!..got 40k left!!) I think if I lift it, it will void the warranty..but just bigger tires, I don't think so |

Doesn't void my warranty. As long as you don't go crazy and get a 255/265 on 100% stock jeep and cause damage you should be fine. It's logically believable that you "Went to firestone and all they had in stock were those" if you get a 235/245 |

I'm running 245 70's as well. Mine is def. lowered. Just a bit of rubbing at full lock in reverse, nothing too serious:

what about anybody running 245/65r17's on stock rims with no lift? or should I just go 235 AT's? |

I'm going to check with the warranty department and with the service manager at the dealership near me and get back to you guys. I know the floor manager has a pretty built rubicon and wheels it often, so they may be a bit more inclined towards lifted/modded jeeps than some other dealerships. I'd love to put 245/70s on. It'd be nice to have that extra footprint, even if it is just a little bit more. |

guess im crazy because im running 255/65 series tires with barely any rubbing at full lock and i can stuff the tires in the rear without touching the flares |

I find this metric stuff pretty confusing, but I think your tires and mine (see below) are about the same height - but yours may be wider - and mine are considered stock size. 'Course, I could be completly wrong! |
