I need help assessing this problem.. At first i thought my gas cap was clunking, but it turns out I was wrong. While not paying attention, i hit a speed hump around 30 mph. Now, when i hit small bumps, it feels like my rear drivers side suspention is reallly lose and it clunks loudly. I am running stock shocks and coil springs with a Daystar 2.5" spacer kit. Did i bust a shock?

If you are still running the stock shocks then more than likely you did, the stockers are running at almost the top so going over anything like that would over extend them

The stock shocks are your problem. You need extended rear shocks Rancho RSX 17004.

If you have an Advance Auto Parts store around you they carry Rancho's.
Give them the 17004 # for a Durango, otherwise if you ask for a Liberty you will get the same stock lenght you have now.

Did you install bump stops also? If so, the shocks will bottom out as well as top out hitting speed bumps, especially with a lift.

If you are looking for something cheap I have a set of the shocks from Rusty's 2.5 lift (Brand New) that I got when I lifted mine, I installed the rancho's from All J's.
The issue was that they didn't fit with out some washers, I can't remember exactly, (If someone else can chime in on the issue) I can dig them out and send them for for cost of shipping if you want. Let me know?

could be a shock that is shot but I would bet from age or a busted bushing on one end
over extending shocks can not happen
they are the limiting factor in down travel
if this were the case then I would have had to replace the shocks in my TJ a VERY long time ago
they are the limiting factor ,in fact they are so short that I can not even move my springs at full drop
I should at least be able to move them

Also check the bolts holding your trailing arm in place. I had this problem once. Got so bad it was as if the friggin axel was about to come free from under the Jeep. You could kick the tire and watch it bounce about 2" back and forth. Tightened the bolts and all is well.
