That depends on the year, I believe. The FSM for the 03s says: "The recommended fluid for the power steering system is MOPAR power steering fluid or equivalent. Do not use automatic transmission fluid and do not overfill." |

i am also low... while looking aroudn the engine bay, i saw a line (about as thick as a finger) that has a bunch of fluids on it... could this be my PSF (power steering fluid) leak, or does the PSF just sometimes get low? THANKS! |

PSF gets low when cold. There should be four lines on the can. Two for minimum (cold/hot) and two for maximum (cold/hot). Fill after the appropriate mark. I'm glad that the 03s shouldn't use ATF+4 as I've poured some standard MOPAR stuff in mine. Didn't screw anything up and so far has not leaked. It's been three months since I put in the PSF. |

I use Prestone Power Steering fluid. I change mine twice year, and use a cheapo turkey baster to empty the resivoir & fill with new. |

Your suppose to switch over to atf +4 on the older kjs like the newer kjs when you change your fluid. I know the manual says not to but I guess Chrysler changed thier minds. Changed mine to atf when I changed the pump. no problems. Chris |

I picked up a quart at the dealer of ATF+4, it says transmission on the bottle, and I was told it is the same thing. $10 a quart. I saw that Walmart also has them for half the price a few days after I got it. I haven't had time to replace mine, as I don't want to just top it off, you are not supposed to mix them if they are different color (different part numbers) |
