Just trying to get some fresh views on an old front bump stop post from the Fab section.
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=5379

The bump stop in the post is reported to be 4.5" long, quite a bit longer than the Daystar I would think.

The Red Daystar hardly seems much longer than the black stock bump stop.

Tom, you're not reading the whole Post. They are not mine, someone else's, and that post is now 2 yrs. old.

He used the bump stops in conjunction with a RRO OTT Spacer with stock struts, and stock springs, and then after 6 months of beating on it, reported back that all was well.

It never attracted much attention in the fab section, so I'm just reviving it to get peoples veiws on it .

They are specific to the KJ, you really have to hammer them in there to make them fit. The hole that I drilled is so the zerk fitting on Als a arms would not get damaged during full compression.

THey are longer by about 2 inches, the picture doesnt show too well. has worked for me so far. I have felt them make contact a few times.

The energy ones look decent and probably cheaper then what I paid about 70 for both.

TerraFlex makes an extended bump stop. That is what I am using to keep my RRO lift from killing my struts, that is until I can save enough up for a Frankenlift. I think the The terraflex bump stops were about $43 shipped, and if you put a little soap or veggie oil on them the go on a lot easier. Just my 2 cents.

I called the number (Phone/801-713-3314) listed on this web-site
http://www.mepco4x4.com/
They are an off road shop in Utah that produces all of the terra flex stuff. Give them a call they were pretty helpful and shipped quickly.

I hope you find this helpful

Not a big deal but just thought I would make a correction. Mepco was around for years and teraflex actually bought out mepco to start their firs official retail store. It kind of sucks because mepco carried all the old jeep parts that no one can find and teraflex did away with that stuff. :(

Do you happen remember how much longer the bump stop is by chance?

I think they are about two inches longer than the stock bump stops (total 4"). I will try and get pics when I have time. I will also put a stock bump stop next to it so you see the difference.

Just called 801-713-3314 at Tera Flex and ordered a set of the extended bump stops. They are $16.24 each + shipping, and the part # is 001903200.

Same here. If these install easily and work well, Terraflex could be making some good $$$ from this thread!

I aready warned them that, they could expect more orders from the L.O.S.T. guys.

I bottom out occasionaly on ruts with all my front end weight, so I'm pretty sure these will help the situation. If not, I'm going to the OME 790's and an extra front shock.
