Anyone installed Nerf bars or running boards on a Limited? I bought a set of Westin's ($250) but the Limited has that weird plastic piece that runs under the doors and sticks out such that the Nerf bars are worthless - the Westin nerf bars don't stick out far enough to be useful as a step. Do the Mopar ones fit better? I was trying to save $100 but these won't work for me.

I need some kind of step for putting skis up on the roof rack this winter. Any ideas?

For reaching up on the roof, I either just stand on the rear tire or open the front door and stand on the rocker.

All '05s have that plastic "thing" on the rocker panel. Any bars, rails or steps designed for '02-04 KJs will probably not fit.

I agree with Eddo though, just stand on the rear tire or open up a door and stand on the sill.
