What are some mods that can be done to reduce the KJ's body roll and understeer ?

Stiffer springs (with better than OEM struts/shocks) or thicker sway bars is one way. Lowering is another method. The combination of both would reduce roll even more...and lower profile tires that still meet weight requirements with lessen roll. It is all a balance that will give you the best handling.

I know some might be ready to chime in...IT IS a JEEP...or...IT IS a SUV...DRIVE SLOWER..ect. While it is true that the Liberty will never be a flat handling road racer...it could be improved. It is your KJ and do whatever makes you happy :D

We came REAL close to buying a new KK (08 Liberty), but at the last minute decided to hold out. Came down to the big picture ($$) and the wife's job instability. :roll: Plus, she really likes her 05 Lib. Just not the handling and lack of wet road traction.

I'm going to buy a set of 245/70-16s real soon for it. I hope that will help both situations. Traction and handling. Was looking at Destination A/Ts, but they are on nationwide back-order for at least a month. :roll: May have to settle for a set of General Grabber AT2s.

Yea, I know. We've owned several SUVs and 4x4s over the years. 8) I save the MAJOR mods for my 5.0 Mustang! :D

Rims with less Back spacing and tire with a lower profile or stiffer sidewall will really help. My Jeep actually handles better after the lift than it did before.

If you still have the factory tires on then just getting new tire will make the KJ seems like a different vehicle.

Yup, the factory tires are worthless. a good set of tires make a world of difference.

If you have SelecTrac transfer case then have her put it in full time 4wd. Makes a big difference on slick roads. I haven't had mine out of Fulltime 4wd since Thanksgiving.

tires alone was almost the single best improvement in handeling, get new tires soon and you will be surprised. I went from the stockers to 245 70X16 Destination ATs and it drove completely different!

hahah awesome.. we had an 03 cobra.. belt, pullied, chiped, exhaust, air intake, short shifter, cheater slicks.. and a 11.3 quarter mile :) those things are awesome!!

they will def. fit but they will probably create some rubbing on the pinch welds if you havnt hammered them down yet. when i had them on my stock KJ they rubbed a reaaalll small bit with the stock tires. if your lifted it should be fine..

50 each for Spidertrax?? I see those cheap ones for that price byt never the Spidertrax. 5 on 4.5 is what you want
the 50 buck ones would work but hes only got two and plus for some reason no nuts which are a short nut to fit correctly, not sure maybe you could buy them from Spidertrax. Still 4 days left price will go up I bet

I have only had issues with oversteer, and I think the 05 to be good on body roll considering the high COG, but it has gotten worse as the suspension has softened. Test drive a Honda Element some time if you want to see real body roll.

Unless you either get a lift or are willing to start trimming a bit and possibly hammereing down your front pinch weld...1.25" wheel spacers should be your last resort. They will significantly increase the "arc" your wheel travels when turned and cause some rubbing issues. I would put the $200+ toward some new rubber...
