Hey all just figured I'd post some info... Just got my '06 KJ limited back from the dealer today.. I went in hearing a bang/clunk kinda sound from what I thought was possibly ball joints or something.. Turns out it was the nerf bars installed by the previous owner, they bolt in using the lower control arm mounts an when they where installed the bolt wasn't tight enough causing it to move an cause the sound I heard...Hopefully this might help others who are hearing the bang sound from the suspension I was hearing, it usually happend when slowing down an then taking off again and sometimes when turning..

Got any pics? I've never heard of any sliders that mount to the LCA mounts

first sorry for the delay in reply.. haven't had a chance to get under my Lib. until I did my oil change... They are not really sliders, they are tude style running boards made by uws ( similar to what you would find on a stock dealer lot one ) I checked the mounting points..sorry no pics... the front mounts flush an the rear does use the lca front mount.. best i can describe it is like think of adding another washer to the lca bolt thats what it is mounted like... I guess who ever put these on did not torque it back to the right lbs. an it came loose over time...
