So off we go on day two of JL Rockies' sendoff.... day one is here http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=29349

As planned, we take off to conquer the "Top of the World"...

Not quite looking so do-able at the moment. So we travel onward to Klondike Bluffs, will this be the trail to turn back the rockin' stocker?

So we venture on into an alien wilderness. Nice scenic cruise to start things out.

Then we run into, for lack of a better term... "snud"

Nothing like a wedgie.....

Then JL Rockies decided to show me just how close one can get to putting a large dent in their door.... then I had to try for myself.

After we each had our near-miss with the "off camber snow slope above the ravine of death".... we finally made it to the slickrock... and remembered that this was fun again 8)

Dino Tracks! (nobody told them to tread lightly apparently)

Ramp may be steeper than it appears...

After a long day of retracing our steps and doing all the obstacles over again (out-and-backs can be rough)... we did get the pleasure of a high speed romp on a VERY muddy road... and wound up with 2 happy KJ's... and the stocker remains up-to-par with Moab Moderates. (but I think it's just the awesome tires) :D

So best of luck to ya JL Rockies.... it was fun

Yes. The ravine of death was especially interesting. Go high and as soon as you start to slide sideways towards the edge, hit the skinny pedal and hope for the best. It was either that or get ready to deploy the ejector seat.

Thank you for joining me on my last weekend in MOAB. We had a lot of fun and strictly adhered to the "Tread Lightly" principles.

I was totally impressed with what the KJ can do without a lift and (Severe Terrain) stock tires. I imagine you can do more if you had a spotter who actually knew what he was doing!
