Well, I just finished cutting the front upper coil/shock mounts off my TJ and I was thinking about trying to use them on my wife's Libby. In my thinking, it would stand to reason that I could use a TJ front axle, giving me the upper and lower coil and shock mounts. I know I would need to fabricate upper and lower control arm mounts on the frame end and I know that will pose it's own challenges/problems. Has anyone else been looking at this or done it? I saw a Libby in a magazine that was running Dynas, but I'm not trying to spend that kind of money. Any help would be great! Thanks, Rob |

i think you are going to come up a bit short on axle length. with a tj axle, i think the shock/spring towers would have to be farther inward than the stock libby location do a search, there have been a couple really good threads about the sfa swap here lately. bewst part is, they are by guys who are actually doing the swap, not just spewing out best guesses (like myself) |

Cool, thanks for the inputs. I'll go do some more digging around. Do you really think the TJ axle buckets would be too far outward to work with the Libby front frame section?? |
