Frankenlift or OME HD with Ranchos. The Frankenlift uses OME HD springs but, it is a little taller. Both use Ranchos. |

The best lift is the one that you can afford, you are going to see Frankinlift all day long. But search them out for yourself and then chat with some of the guys (or girls forgot about steakgoddes) that have them. |

Here Here!! I could afford Rusty's and went with it. I am completely happy with the sucker, too. Even after 10,000 miles and a handful of off road trips.(that's since April) |

Just a shout out to the crew at All J for a great job they did installing the Frankenlift on my KJ this past weekend. The job was done in the time I did a bike ride around Riverside. The next day I was on dirt in Antelope Valley, moving over washouts from last week's rainstorm. She's taller, soaks up bumps, floats over curbs. Her highway ride is improved too. This morning she got Bridgestone Revo LT 245 75 16's, and now is ready for Death Valley this coming weekend. Thanks too to this forum's participants for the info and opinions that steered me to the Frankenlift. |

Thanks too to this forum's participants for the info and opinions that steered me to the Frankenlift. Just like I said "You will see it all day" This is not the only lift that will work on a KJ. |

It's not the only one that will "work", but of the three lifts I've run the Frankenlift certainly works the best. I'd say Rusty's coil lift deserves a look as well though. Especially if you're on a budget. Nobody has anything bad to say about either of the lifts. |

Someone's signature on the LOST Boards says something like "price is soon forgotten, but quality is not." I completely agree with this. After doing my research on this board, I choose the Frankenlift for a couple reasons: -It's a "tried and true" lift designed LOST KJ West in Cali and All-J Products. This means lots of testing was thrown at this kit, and they all praise it. -It is a "full suspension replacement kit", meaning it replaces your coil springs, struts up front, and shocks in the rear. This also means max flex. It uses brand names that are familar to me from other lifted vehicles, especially Jeeps (Old Man Emu, Skyjacker, Rancho). Spacers (big ones) are known to give the lifted look but make the front suspension very stiff. This automatically ruled out all the 2 and 2.5" spacer kits for me, since I wanted max flex. I then looked at either Rusty's Suspension Kit or the Frankenlift. The Frankenlift has great reports from many KJ owners, so I was leaning towards that anyways. Then I heard about people having issues with Rusty's shocks, and didn't want to deal with anything like that. So I got the Frankenlift and I have no complaints at all with it. I did the install myself, with friends. I fit 245/75 M/Ts with minor rubbing at full lock. I can't say it's the best kit, because I haven't tested others. Skyjump has had 3 different lifts, and he likes his Frankenlift the best. I guess you could say I learned from him and just got the Frankenlift right away... P.S. I wheel with some friends who barely believe what I can do with only a 2.5" lift, and "on a Liberty!" Thank you FLEX! |

Rusty's gets good reviews from alot of folks....but if your looking for the MAXIMUM articulation...Frankenlift is the way to go. Good Luck ![]() |

![]() ![]() I just helped install this lift recently on an 04 Limited. We did my Frankenlift the week before so I wanted to compare everything. The one we installed was not OME springs all around. We could not tell what kind of rear springs were used (they were in a plain white box) but they weren't OME. My Frankenlift had the OME springs and mine were thicker metal than these were. It did not have the rear bump stops in the kit as well. I am not sure if this would be an issue with these springs or not but I do know on this site there is a video of a rear spring popping out. the front strut assembly of course was not assembled already either. During the install it seemed to me that we were able to compress the front strut much easier than we were able to on mine. This ofcourse made getting the clevis in position easier. the guy who we installed it on said he was getting the ARB bumper later on. I have a feeling he is going to sag when he does this. Just my opinion. After everyhting was said and done we took measurements of both vehicles. Mine was 3/4 of an inch higher in front than his and we were within a 1/4" in back. My opinion was I got the better lift when I compared everything he got for $50.00 more than what I paid. I am not trying to knock the other lift. His Liberty looks great and he is very happy with it. But the quality in his didn't seem quite as good as mine IMO. |

"Price is soon forgotten, but quality is not." Well, if it causes your kids to not be able to eat lunch for two weeks, then price is certainly NOT soon forgotten. The wife will remind you every single day, in a way that you don't like. So for me, my budget was less than $300. It was either that, or no lift. So I had no choice but to go with the Daystar lift. I don't know if I'm going to like it or not (it should be delivered any day now), but what I do know is that it's all I could possibly afford. Daystar will be better than no lift at all, that is for sure! My only point is...Frankenlift might certainly be the best lift on the market right now for our KJs. But if you don't have hundreds and hundreds of dollars laying around to spend on it then it's NOT an option. So then the "best lift" becomes very subjective. To me, the best lift was Daystar. To a wealthy guy it might be Frankenlift. Depends on what you are going to do with it, and how much cash you have to throw at it. |

Maybe he bought the Rockfather l setup, which is quite a bit different. My ARB bumper hasn't caused any sag in the suspension after several months...I can't speak about the Frankenlift, obviously it is a tried and true lift. My point is that the Rockfather ll lift is a fine lift and worth the bux. |

The OME springs are too soft for the CRD w/ the Frankenlift, as tested by another CRD owner. So, not only did you save money over the Frankenlift but got the best for YOUR KJ. ![]() |
