Can any of you who have installed the ARB Bull Bar tell me their experience with it? Pros/Cons, warranty issues/insurance issues, problems? Anything at all. Thanks!

The ARB bumper is a great looking unit. There is the weight factor to consider (I know someone that had sagging suspension after about a year). It might have to do with the combo of winch/bumper always hanging off the front end. (no winch might be a different story)

Then there is a the approach angle that will cause you to drag on steep downhills but im talking pretty steep stuff....so consider where you will be using your Jeep.

Take those two factors into consideration before you install and you'll be ahead of the game.

The ARB bumper is VERY strong...i've seen it tangle with a HUGE rock and only get a little bitty dent that would have demolished the stocker ....so thats a plus.

Good luck 8)

Yeah, it was a big rock...and the dent pulled out and needed some grinding to clean it up, but it looks almost as good as new. Didn't even break the turn signal...

Anyway, our warranty is 2 years on most parts including the Bull Bars. Not a lot of warranty issues with em though. If it goes on the way it's supposed to, you break it after that, it's usually your fault and your on your own.

I have had mine for a couple of months and no complaints! Great product that is really strong. Knocks over anything that is not heavier than the KJ, well almost everything :D . It does not sag that much for me and it is really a small sag if any, granted I have not got my Warn up there yet so that will kill the lft. However, the SFA should be coming out in the not too distant future so...hehe Can't wait for that! :D

I've had mine one for 2.5 years and love it! It looks great and it's functional. Yes it's heavy. Yes it sticks out far. Neither the weight nor the size has turned out to be a problem in any way.

Not sure what you mean about insurance issues. I actually needed to replace my front bumper due to an accident on an icy road and replaced it with the BullBar.

The dealership here doesn't have a problem with any of the mods I've made. They are just happy to have me come in and support their business. I think they have gone above and beyond on several occasions.

I've been fly fishing all summer long (and even into fall) and haven't posted much. Earlier this year sway bar bushings were an issue. That OTT lift may turn out to be a problem for you as well.

That is one sick rig Seth. I like the matching paint job on the bumper. Sweet!

How did you get the matching paint job on the bumber?

Can you order the bumper like that, or did you get it painted yourself?

I think you can have it powdercoated with the matching color from the factory, but I'm not sure.

Just when I decided to give up on the ARB bumper due to cost, I see a sweet color-matched one. That's what I planned to do (Khaki Renegade). Looks good. Nice!

Unless things have changed, they come primer grey from ARB and you have to get them painted to match if you want. The primer grey matches the unpainted fenders.

Does anyone have a copy of the install instructions they'd like to scan and post? Maybe a .pdf file? Thanks!

I am also about to order a 2005 deluxe ARB winch bull bar for my Cherokee Limited here in the UK. I think the cost for a unit in primer is going to be about £590 + carridge.
I would also like to see any installation instructions from anybody that has installed an ARB bumper. Info is almost non existant - apart from that which I recieved from this brilliant site! I have emailed ARB - but they haven't bothered to reply. The UK importer, Frog Island 4 x 4 Ltd. have told me to allow about a month for delivery. They say the indicators come with the bumper (the ones shown on the ARB 2005 unit are different from mine) and my spots (the small one in the latest chrome grille) should fit into the new bumper. It should be a straight 'bolt on', with no alterations required! I wish I was confident and could confirm this. Why do ARB not answer my Email? My UK dealer says that they will just 'pass on my enquirey to the UK importer' - but they didn't contact me either! So - Guys - any one got any further info' before I blindly order and commit on Monday morning?
Thanks in advance :?

send a PM to ARBSeth on this board. He's very helpful and responsive. He works at ARB in the USA.

Thanks for the suggestion Adam. I have sent ARBSeth a 'PM'. Being new to this, I hope I've done it correctly :(
