I did a search and couldn't find a complete answer to my question, but I apologize in advance if this question is being repeated for the upteenth time.

1) What OEM skids are currently available for an '03 KJ?
2) What is not covered by the OEM skids (meaning what do I need to do to complete the underside protection?)

Looking on-line, I see some conflicting statements on different websites (ie there is an OEM suspension skid that "obsoletes" the OEM engine skid, but I read here on LOST that there wasn't ever an engine skid for the KJ).

I know most people recommend after market skids, but I'm on a budget and figure some protection is better than none...

The list I have is:
Fuel Tank
T-Case
Front Suspension
Transmission

Any input would be appreciated.

Nick

That looks like a complete list to me. The tranny skid did not come on any KJ under 05. I think that it may need a little drilling to fit all the mounting bolts, but so did my aftermarket. I have all OEM except for the tranny and all have held up so far. The one thing that was not on your list is a set of rails for the pinch weld. If you plan to do anything beside light trail riding you will need a set.

Thanks WV. Out of curiosity, do you or anyone else seeing this know what the All J super skid is supposed to replace? Is it the OEM tranny skid?

Also, I'm being told that the transfer case skid of the 03 year has been discontinued. Anyone know of a good place to look for those? Will a later model year work on the 03?
