Does anyone run the black front (steel?) trim packers made by rocky road?? When i ordered from their site i ordered the trim packer..thinking it was the complete OME kit(front & rear yellow rubber) however upon delivery it was one front 3/8" black metal trim spacer made by rocky road...so I ordered another one for the other side :lol:

Anyone run these? (On a side note: I guess OME doesn't make that trim packer kit for KJs?)

I had never heard of a trim packer until you came up with it then looked on the OME site. Those, what you have are the same as Rustys sell or what I had made up myself from some scrap steel, they will give you about double their thickness in extra heighth.

Looks like it serves the same function as a rear spring isolater. I don't see any mention of use for the front springs.

The 3/8" front spacer are commonly used by folks with ARB bumpers to help level things out
(and the past usage of 'trim packer' was the poly spacer for the rear - tends to be used if you want articulation and a 265/75/16 tire)

Its also packaged with the 2 1/4" combo lift from RRO. basically the 2" Daystar lift plus this spacer for the front. I have been running that for about 2 years.

They are ?? I have had the ARB on for 3 years and never had to level it out ?? I must of done something wrong???!!! :wink:

Those 3/8" spacer plates will boost your front end up 3/4". Should work well with your OME's to level out the front end.

isnt that the same thing as Rustys?? but his is $30 for the pair

EDIT lol nevermind I just reread Tommudds post :oops:

would I need to get another alignment if I add Rustys trim spacer and 1 more clevis ring??

do u think these would work well in combination with an addtl rear isolator on each side or would this combo make the rear back to being higher than the front? hmmmm..

I think it would work and itd be a cheap way go gain some lift, I bought rustys spacer and doing a 4th clevis and now just neeed to order a third rear iso

Those spacers are supplied with the Rockfather 2 lifts also. When I took my RF2 off I took the spacers and added it to my OME HD lift instead of doing a clevis.

awesome james... do u have extra isolators in the rear or with just the strut plates in the front, no rear isolators? (Just wondering how it will sit either way...)

Using the OME springs it should sit as it does stock which is nose down some (which I hate!) So I would put that spacer in thefront and just the springs in the rear and you should come out almost even after everything settles in....I think, no big deal to throw another isolater in the rear if you need it later

Got a few ideas on the back burner. Sliders, for one, before I trash the rocker panels. I'm also planning a better rack for up top. Eventually I will lock the rear diff. Also gotta get a good search/spot light on this rig sooner or later, if I can find one that's not too huge...

I've got a few other ideas rattling around in my noggin, but nothing too urgent yet.

Something tells me this KJ will never really be "finished." :lol:
