arb bumper

Anyone with an 05 with the arb bumper? I want to install it but I am not sure how it will look with the oem fog lights.

The 05 is a different bumper and will be out at the end of the month or early Nov. if I remember right. Pictures of the new bumper are on this site somewhere.

Did the ARB bumper need to be redesigned to fit or did they just want to change the look of it??

fog lamps are in a different position, hence redesign

Ok, but can't you just change the foglights and then use the older (current) ARB bumper on an '05?

You can use the current ARB bumper on 05s...I saw pics posted on the site somewhere. It looks pretty good, but there is going to be a new bumper coming out so you may want to wait...

To fit the '02-04 ARB on an '05 KJ you'll also need to change out the grill and probably the front flares as well.

yeah since my fog lights are in the grille I wasnt sure if they would be negated by the bumper. I wouldnt mind it if it didnt block the oem fog lights. I'd still have to get fog lights to fill the spots in the arb bumper. I'm just gonna wait for redesign and see how it look though. Thanks for the info.

Hi Guys. New member - first post. I have just bought a new 2005 Cherokee Limited. 20 days old and some SOB hit it whilst parked. Front bumper creased and holed - £700 to replace it with standard bumper - so I thought it the perfect time to fit an ARB deluxe winch bumper. I'm really having trouble trying to get any info. I Emailed ARB in Australia, but they wont reply. I have their British importers on the case - but they dont seem to be on the ball. I can see from the info I got from this site that there are differences for the 2005 bumper - so if anyone has ANY further info - it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Love the Jeep - and this site is brilliant. Thanks for the help guys.

i guy about 50 miles away from me had one installed on his renegade about 2 weeks ago

he used a set of NARVA fog lights which were a heap cheaper than the OEM set

Hi 'kj in a tight spot'.

Any info such as 'is the 2005 model available yet? Any fitting instructions /problems? Are the original spot light holes concealed by the new bumper? Are they 'blanked off' or left open. The indicators are different from my UK 2005 Limited edition. Are they an extra or ?. How long before I can get one in the UK. (I WANT IT NOW - pleeeease!)

Not sure how you get it ( i dont know if Begging your ARB reseller in blighty will help) :lol:

that was the first 05 Bull bar to be sold and fitted in Australia

Well as far as whether or not the 05 is available yet, Im not sure. I have the 04 version on my KJ, the installation was not too difficult. Just bolt on and trim the fenders with a hacksaw. A good person to talk with would be ARBSeth, he is our official rep from ARB USA on this site and he knows more about the bumpers than anyone. He has posted in various other posts about the ARB bumpers. Not sure about when they will be in the UK. I say talk with Seth, he'll set ya straight! Hope this helps.
