front or rear

if i can only afford one set of tow hooks prior to my first real wheeling trip. Which should i get front or rear tow hooks? also i wanna buy a good strap any ideas?

Tow straps... if you have a Tractor supply near by they are a great place to buy locally, get one thats rated high enough and 30 foot or so. All of mine are at least 20000 I want to be on the safe side :wink:

Tow points....well if you get stuck in the same position everytime then whichever way you need pulled out is the right end!
But there are no good points to tow off of front or rear without either tow hooks, tow hitch or something like that. It may seem that I harp a lot about having good tow points but you just need proper points to pull on to keep you and everyone else around you safe. Also you can never guess where you may need them, (front or rear) too many variables

Here is an idea of what to look for in a recovery strap:

If you have a rear receiver hitch get the front hooks. You can use the hitch as a recovery point.

No way you can say front or rear , there is no place to attach to without tow hooks, how can you say I only need say front or rear ??? :lol:

well i just bought the rear so now im looking for a cheap set of fronts and ill have both and hopefull a tow strap as well but im not stressin that as much considering im sure some one will have one sunday

Keep in mind that you will need the Mopar hooks for the front including the "m" bolts to properly secure them.

im gettin those from a dealership i talked them down to 86 for the front from 101
