I am ordering Old Man Emu medium coil springs and Rancho RSX struts and shocks to lift my KJ. I want to do a clevis lift and add some rear spring isolator (insulator) for a little extra lift.

I know some of you out there have this set up already. What combo in the lock nuts and isolators are you using to level things out? And if you have pics that would be awsome.

That is exactly the setup I am running. The rear ended up being a little higher, but I has settled some and now its close to even. I got 1 extra iso in the back. Every Jeep and set of springs are different so you may get different result.

How much lift am I looking at for a 2005 with this set up and three ring clevis and one ISO? Would I be better off going with Rusty's springs or will this give me just as much?

With HD OME springs you should get within a 1/2in of the Rustys lift(give or take). Ive never had the two side by side with the same size tires to compare them. :?

Just go OME, Rustys are not as strong , same as stock only give you lift, but not really upgrading anything

So no extra ISO in the rear and 3 rings for the clevis should make it even from what I am seeing on here?

but what struts are you running thats where the difference comes in , stock and OME take 3 most times, Ranchos ( due to the way they are made ) you need to use 4 or 5 depending.

use to be OME but for now they are the stocks .. i was thinking of trying out the Ranchos in the front though. i sold my OME fronts with my old lift. to be honest though stocks ride perty good. i do have RSXs in the rear still. ( sold the rusty shocks  ) the front shocks are not any longer with the OMEs than the stocks so its ok just not as firm.

Rusty's lift... 4 ring clevis in the front and two extra iso pads in the rear... sits level (or very close to level)... Sometimes the front looks higher than the rear

Yes its not the lenghth rather the place that the conduit nuts end up resting on, thats why people get confused, they say they are going to be running say in this case Ranchos then everyone else runs in saying I have this or that and more or less rings and then the new guy gets confused as to what to do.

OK. Couldn't get the OME springs because most of the places had them on back order. Ended up buying Rusty's. Can anyone tell me if I add one ISO to the rear how many lock nuts I need to add to the front (Rancho Struts) to level things out?

Maybe it's the "newbie" in me but I have never heard of clevis lifts to "level" a Jeep before, only on the KJ's. Are you fellows putting a spirit level on your Jeep after you install a lift?

6 foot level along the sides to make sure its completely level front to back, side to side, took me 17 hours and 87 minutes to get mine right on the bubble

Kjs come from the factory nose down, most people like to see them level front to rear thats all and a clevis can only be done on a suspension system like that is on the KJs. Its very easy, cheap and effective 8)
