After lifting your KJ, what have you had the most problems with during a wheel alignment?

Does anyone have those numbers that were posted (or any numbers they've found to work) for a toe/camber/caster adjustment during a wheel alignment? I've started with one idiotic place here, but I'm trying Nat'l Tire and Battery and they're open to trying different numbers to get this thing aligned (I'm at 245x75x16 MT's on Rusty's coil lift with a 1/2" clevis).

Thanks.

I did not vote but of all the KJs I have lifted I just change the tow. You will have to increase the tow whaen you lift a KJ. The tow on a KJ will have to be checked while sitting on the ground. I havbe found that one turn out on each end of the tie rod ends will be very close. You final results should be ...sitting on the ground...after about a week of break end on the lift...about 1/8th to 3/16th tow in. I use a tape measure and check the measurement at the front of the tire and then the rear. I am on my second KJ and never had anything adjusted. great tire wear with no problem. Hopoe that helps. Later...Clint

Thanks Clint. One other question: can you explain how the toe impacts me letting the wheel go and veering off to the right? When I hold the wheel, it's a bit of a battle, but it will drive fairly straight with the steering wheel aligned properly.

Steering, to me, is a black magic and I have no idea how it works!

Thanks.

Do you have the alignment put back to factory settings a few weeks after putting on the lift?

I had my lift installed today. The guy that installed it said the toe would be off and he was right. I went up the road and had it checked and corrected.

Not to be a nit but ...

This really doesn't need to be a poll but since it is created as such shouldn't it be in the polls section?

After lifting Midas did the alignment on my '02 Liberty. I don't know exactly what they did, but it worked. I do know that they changed the settings on the cam bolts on the lower control arms, and by quite a bit. I had marked the settings with white crayon so I could put them back after removing/re-installing the lower control arms. The current, post-alignment settings are quite different from where the white lines were.
