so how much does the franken lift settle?

My front end is Way high!!! 36" to the flare in front, and the rear is only 34"... The rear springs have been in a month, and the front, I just finnished this afternoon.

Something is wrong in the BACK. Here's my measurements w/ same tires and wheels....

35.75" in front
36" in back

I wouldn't be surprised if you got the OME springs by mistake. My SJ coils originally gave me 3.5" and OME is supposed to give 1.5". There's your 2" difference. Does yours look like this? I noticed the same issue with this newly Frankenlifted KJ:

If you look at the rocker panel it is noticeably angled up toward the front. I hate to say it, but I like the look of the Frankenlift better with the SJ coils in the back. This is too 4 Runner wanna be.

Mine's actually a little over 36 in the front and about 35.5 in the rear. Definately SJs in the rear.

Don't forget that if you're measuring from the ground to the flare your tire size comes into play too.

Maybe measure from the center of the wheel to the flare?

I have the same tires and wheels as Ted. Its the rear springs.

Yep, I got red Skyjacker coils... powdercoated black by quinn...

But yes it does look like the silver one above...

My tires are a bit more worn than yours too Joel

I'm at 35.75" in the rear and 36.75" in the front w/ the MT/Rs and it sits almost dead level based on measurements from my Boulderbars to the pavement at front and rear. That's w/ the medium duty OME springs in front and back. Since my KJ is an '05, the trim is slightly different so the measurements may not be directly comparable, but a 2" difference between front and rear seems like too much.

My Kj is the one in the picture above. If you measure to the top of the wheel well you are not getting an accurate measurement. If the look closely at the picture you will notice that my fender flare on the front comes up higher than the one in the back. Compare it to the line down the side with the trim on it. My measurements to the rear is 34 1/2" and in front 36".

Nails - can you measure from the rocker panel front and rear? From the picture it looks like your rocker panel is angled up toward the front. Just curious.

I'm still thinking that Ted got the OME coils in back. Your measurements are almost the same.

Just called Quinn, I got the skyjackers in the rear. The front will settle a bit he said. with the lower temps here and the fact that the poly and strut have not had any weight on them, it may take a while.... Maybe I just need to skip the back bumper and donate my front end to Rock lizard and put a bit of weight on my nose...

I may get some thicker isolator pads to help lift the back some.

The front is creaking and moaning like crazy, she is not happy... but the vibration in my wheel and pedals are gone, so the ball joints were my problem, and the powerslots and hawken pads are great too... gonna drive it around, then align it on Thursday morning. My nose will most likely be in the air a bit on Sunday still though.

Current measurements, this time to the flat part of the unibody frame right before it curves upward toward the wheel wells:
Front:15 3/4
And just in front of the rear control arm mount:
Rear:14 3/4"

So to the frame, it is only 1" difference, I guess the styling just makes it look worse, so If I add 1/4" to 3/8" spacer in the back, she should go level, I think...

Just FYI Guys, They went with the OME springs becasue they do not sag like some of the other springs...There were other reasons but this was one reason for sure. I installed the OME's and it was just as tall as the Skyjacker springs...But I have noticed that the OMEs seem to not be saging. Keep in mind I haul around tons of computer equipment all the time.

You guys are using the factory iso plates in the rear with the springs right?

I would also suggest not to do any clevis with the Frankinlift in the front unless you really need to...if you have the clevis up a little then just lossent the clevis bolt and let it slid back down to the bumpstops on the strut.

I also noticed that Joel said he blew one of the struts in one post he made...Was it a Rancho Strut...Quinn is a great guy to get warranty stuff taken care of...if you guys are having any problems at all...Please take the time to call Quinn and he will work it out for you.

The measurements on my jeep are
front: 35 3/4 Frankin lift
rear: 36 OME Frankin lift

245 X 75 tires.

Measured through the centerline of the wheels from the groiund to the fender flair.

I have had the front on the KJ from 3 days after picking it up and I have right at 44000 miles in just the first year...and the new OME rear springs for 3 months now... Rancho struts and shocks.

Nope, not me. I blew out a SKYJACKER SHOCK. Everything that came with the Frankenlift has been rock solid.

Clint, your measurements are the exact same as mine. Why are guys getting such huge differences in the rear height? Everybody seems to get around 36" up front, but a couple guys only get 34" in the rear??? Something is not right. That doesn't make any sense.

Don't forget tire pressure/sag can alter height. Not a lot but it should be included as an issue in the measuring.

Has anyone measured or will someone measure their heights with PSI at 28 and at 40 to compare height differences?

Yea ...thats kind of the cool feature of the Frankinlift...Not a lot of sag. There is a drop that haoppen the first couple of days but after that...it retains its heights for a very long time. 37 seems very high to me but there are all kinds of factors that can effect this measurement. by the way...I am running a set of 245 75 ATs and I am running 33 in them. later...clint
