i just ordered my OME HD springs and front rancho shocks. i already got my rear rancho shocks from summit the other day :) everything together so far is $596

Rear Rancho RSX17004 = $115 from sumit racing with 10% off coupon
OME HD springs = $317 shipped from torasport.com
Front Rancho RSX17505 = 164 shipped from amazon.com

now i just need bumpstops, ill probably get the front teraflex bumpstops from summit racing for 25 bucks, and make my own rears out of a rubber mallet. and i need 2 front spring isolators. i got a set of front upper OEM strut mounts from someone on here for 15 shipped, but came with 2 isolators, so i need 2 more, i think they are identical top and bottom. that way i can have my new lift assembly, assembled as one unit and take out my stock one in one piece as well

im going to have my friends dad(who owns a machine shop) make me 2, 3/8" steel clevis rings after i give him the measurement for the diameter of the rancho clevis

im so excited! i cant wait to get it and put it on!! ill definitely post of pics of the parts, during, and after!!

heres before pics ahead of time for comparison, they are a few months old, some different stickers on the back, but other than that no changes :)

no i dont have the part number, but they are made by teraflex. just talk to the guy at one of the desks at summit and tell him front teraflex bumpstops for a jeep liberty and he can pull it right up. for the rear, i think im going to use a rubber mallet and cut it in 2 pieces, not sure how high i will make them yet.

i got my front shocks today! woohoo! i just ordered them monday night and they are already here, thats fast! now im just waiting on springs. i just picked up the other front 2 front rubber spring isolators today from the dealer, 43 bucks for 2.

what kind of clevis did you guys say goes on the rancho shocks? im trying to get dimensions for my friend to make them at his machine shop, how would 3/8"x3/8" steel ring with whatever diameter the clevis on the shock is(for the inside diameter on the ring), give a little bit more for those "ridges" on the shock clevis, or is that 3/8" too much?

oh and now i need a new caliper, my front left one is either doing all the work, or the front left is just sticking. when i hit the brakes at cruising speeds my jeep pulls to the left. i took the brakes all apart a couple times, pushing and releasing the piston to maybe free it up but its not working. everything seems fine, but when i drive it the front left gets really hot still and lots of brake dust on that left front side. so next week im getting 2 new front calipers so i have them before the event

Sean150 just left here, his is pulling as well , but his to the right, maybe you two need to get together and cross your KJs then they will stop straight.

3/8 should be Ok to go with I would say, outside diameter doesnt really matter too much

I dunno if you need to get all new calipers. Last time I had soemhting like that happen it was on a Peugeot 604 I had way back when. Obviously that is not a car that I can walk into any autozone and get whatever I need (a lot of the longer life stuff had to be ordered from France if it needed to be replaced). I ended up just getting a rebuild kit for the calipers, tore them apart, cleaned them up, and put them back together. They worked perfectly after taht and it only cost me aobut $30 I think

awesome! thanks ill look into that! can u get that from the dealer? or is that an autoparts store thing? or is it something that the better quality parts are better off getting at the dealer?

i just got done putting new calipers on. i got them from napa, 170 for both calipers/brackets and pads! then when i turn my old ones in i get 70 back for the core. i just have to bleed the brakes again, i only did the fronts and they still feel just a little soft. to bleed them i had my dad pushing the brakes and i cracked the bleeder till fluid came out and the pedal went to the floor then i tightened the bleeder then he let off the pedal, that is correct, right?

so in order:
back right, back left, front right, front left

correct?

no problem man, anything to help out a fellow jeeper...just make me one promise. WHEEL THE CR@* OUTTA THAT NEW SUSPENSION!!! :lol:

and you don't know how lucky you are to not have to disasemble the stock strut assembly then put the new one together...it will save you at least 2 hours (if done by hand).

so i got the brakes bled, they are much much better, but not sure if they are perfect or not, maybe i will take it somewhere to have them do it, like a local private owned mechanic shop, i bought a quart of prestone brake fluid, maybe ill buy another one and just take it to that place, and have them replace all the fluid and bleed the brakes. but im glad the brakes are fixed and no more hot hot rotors and brake dust covered left front wheel :)

YAY!!! i got the rear lifted, took it around the block ,SO much different, feels huge now! lol, and its only the back! rides really ncie too! im compressing the springs tonight and putting the assembly together, probably will do the front this weekend, or maybe friday evening. the back is so easy, took somewhere between 45min to an hour, maybe even less, i dont even know,i was too excited to put everything on haha lol

boat rollers for bumpstops lol, i still have to check them to make sure they are big enough to get contact with the upper OEM bumpstop

how much did you gain? your comparsion shot of the rear coils looks huge like your stock was sagging
