Hi, All
I'm looking for advice since I'm fairly new to any sort or car modding. I have an 2006 2.8 CRD Sport that I would like to lift. I'd like to be able to get as much lift as possible without compromising the CV joints (since this is still a daily driver). I'm not part of any wheeling club (as of yet

). The trails around my place are rocky at 65-85%. I have 2 friends that work as mechanics at my local stealership. Last week I got news that my front brakes had to be done VERY-soon! So I gather since my friend and I will be taking off the wheels might as well do it right and add lift... and thats where any advice will be greatly appreciated.
From what I could gather from browsing the forum:
front:
Lift: CRD Frankenlift II + Brake relocation braket. (Considering Clevis Lift also)
A-Arms: Al-s Upper Arms (Gen5)
LBJ: Moog greasable lower ball joints
Brakes: Redo front brakes. (rotors and pads)
Rear:
Lift: CRD Frankenlift II
I need advice on the following points:
1. I heard of Clevis rings, where do we get those?
2. Need help on designing the proper lift for the rear?
3. If I trail much in the rocks will I eventually kill my CV joints anyways and invalidate the worry of keeping very safe CV angles?
__3a. Would going to a custom shop for CV drive shaft fix the (keep your CV angles low, worry)?
__3b. Would an other lift be a better choice taking these new factors in consideration?
4. I have no clue on how long it will take me to do all that work (Buddy + Me, he's a car mech. I'm not)?
I thank any comment in advance... and greatly appreciate the time taken to help me out on these matters.
