What if I dont lift the jeep, what are my best options for best road ride...smoothest. I drive this thing loooong road trips and long commutes. i want the best ride possible. i have been through plenty of trails on the current ride height and never needed more. plus i dont wanna lose any gas mileage. what are yalls thoughts. |

you could just replace your springs with light or medium duty and new shocks/struts, ride would be much better. also as far as long commutes/trips etc lots of us on here with lifted KJs do long trips, me I do 4 to 600 at least every weekend, if I watch my speed I can still pull twenty mpg so not complaining...much. But back to it, light duty OMEs are 350 lb. spring rate great ride and handeling |

Do you have a gasser or CRD? The options for the front ends are different between the two models. |

Yea, you will get at least 1-1.5in of lift. Not enough to make a big difference or need to get bigger tires. I ran the medium duty ome lift for about a year and the stock tires looked just fine. |

When I hit 100K on my Liberty I'll switch out to the OME lights. I figure it'll have been 10 years of service life at that point for my liberty so the suspension will defenently need some refreshing. OME is probably the best option for someone looking for non lifted replacement parts. |

with the light duties I would say it would just be about where you started at brand new maybe an inch gain, maybe a tad firmer but thats about it, more or less a replacement spring |

You get the same amount of lift with light OME front springs and medium rear springs that you do with others, just a softer spring rate. I got more than the advertised 1 1/5 inches. No, my stock springs weren't tired. We put the OME's on at about 10,000 miles. The ride is as good as or better than stock on the street and much improved over dips and off-road. Gas mileage was not changed. We used the Rancho shocks and struts.

so how different is that than a frankenlift kit? I have the gasser btw.... I was gonna do the frankenlift just cuz that seemed to be what everyone used. but if i can save money by not lifting it, then I would. i dont mind it lifted, i just dont need it enough to pay extra to lift....i just want it riding better. 78k miles on it and it rides worse than my old cherokee! |

I had some on the rear suspension to keep the tires off the fenders but I dont need those anymore. |

Frankenlift includes daystar plate and a poly spacer to give it more lift (and an integrated bump stop to keep the upper arm off the spring). If you don't need that extra lift you can bypass those parts. |

The frankie II has longer struts and coils. I would assume that if you got the same size as the stock ones, in OME springs and front struts, then it would ride like a champ, but you wouldn't gain any lift, just ride quality. Just makes sense to me. Am I wrong? Since you don't need the new bumpstops, front or rear because you are keeping things stock, You would save some cash too. I would also assume, the longer the coils and struts the more they cost, so the stock size should be cheaper. Again, am I wrong? I have the Frankenlit II with OME goodies btw. |

OME does not make stock sized springs. They make stock shocks, but not springs. They are 1.5 inches of lift. Frankenlift uses OME as a base and makes it 2.5 inches total. Go here and click KJ: http://www.arbusa.com/accessorize_your_rig.php |
