Has anybody tried to buy these upper strut plates and stem cushions individually? If so, where? I got a pretty good deal on front ome coils, rancho shocks and possibly will buy a .75" spacer for the front if I can get those components individually as well. Sounds like the Franky front end set-up but with a bit of $$$ saved.

I ordered HD springs all around. Heather is supposed to be getting back to me today. I still want the new strut plates but I'll order spacers based on what she tells me.

you will need the daystar upper for that. If you don't you will be blowing shocks every couple weeks. thats all pending you can get a good spring compressor to even squih the spings enough to get the stock upper strut plate on.

If you are wanting to run a .75 spacer then yes you need the Daystar plate but then there are a lot of us who are running the stock upper plate and the OME Heavy Dutys and no problems . As far as heighth, I parked next to a KJ with a Frankenlift the other day and was just as tall with my set up, so depends on what you want to do.

I talked to Marlin from JBA and he has the Daystar mounts for $27 a piece. I ordered those with the grommets and isolators and .75" spacer from Rustys. I have access to a shop compressor to squeeze the coils so thats no biggie. I haven't been paying too much attention lately to the much wider variety of lifts available now for the KJ. The military can really keep you busy sometimes! Now that I've been doing some research...it seems like a Frankenlift or just OME parts are the way to go so I've done nothing but shopping this whole past week...I just got my rear shocks today and can't wait until everything else comes in!!! I'm glad I shopped for everything separately, you can really save some dough and get those "other" upgrades sooner!
