Post subject:  Lift kit help.

Im in the market to buy a lift kit for my 02, and not sure what to get. I like the price of the Rusty's coil kit , but not sure if I need spend that much just to get my wheels and tires on. Im not trying to climb up mountains anything like that, Im just putting bigger tires on so I can get down the beach at Nags Head NC. without getting stuck again. So I was wondering would a spacer kit be good for what Im trying to accomplice? Or just stick with the real deal? Im trying to put some Goodyear MT/R 245/75/16's on there without to much cutting and hammering. And by the way what and where is this infamous pinch weld? Thanks again guys. :D

Pinch weld is a tthe back of the wheelwell. Some tires rub there and some don't no need to flatten it if yours doesn't rub there. It sounds like you Could get away w/ a spacer lift like from Daystar but in the long run you will not like it after the factory coils start to sag and/or bind up. If you can spare the money, I would go for a coil lift w/ either the Rustys or OME setup as they will perform better in the long run.

pinch seam pounded. Back of the front wheel wells:

I have Rusty's coil kit and LT245/75-16 MT/Rs (not the one in the pic above) and had to pound mine. Still had some minor rubbing on the plastic inner liner on the driver's side until last weekend when I removed it using a water crossing that was deeper than I thought. In other words: I hit the water WAY too fast and blew off the fender and liner. Threw the liner in the back of Dave's GMC, popped the fender back on and kept going. It doesn't rub at all now. :D
