Is anyone running the front 3/4" poly spacers IN COMBINATION with the 2.5" lift? Any input? I'm looking at getting their lift, but really would like to keep the vehicle level once it's lifted.

Nick

My brother and I just fabbed up some 7/16" spacers to fit in the space when you do a clevis lift. It leveled out my KJ from 34.5" to 35.5" in front. The back is just Rusty's and sit about 35.75". Measuring is taken from the ground, through the center of the wheel to the bottom of the flares.

Also, I'm looking to see if there is an interest out there to make more spacers like these. They are 2 1/4" innner dia, 7/16" in height, and about 3/16" wall thickness.

I assume those would take the place of the Rusty's spacers, right? I'm a noob, sorry. I haven't done the clevis lift and wasn't planning on it unless I needed to for leveling after the lift.

I believe the Rusty's spacers that you are talking about are for the rear shocks. They need spacers to fit properly in the upper rear shock mounts.
The spacers I'm talking about fit above the top of the front strut fork where it slides up on the strut bottom. It did level my KJ out and I pretty sure that yours will slope toward the front with just the Rusty's coil lift. I may be wrong on that since I've had my lift for a while now and they may have added something I don't know about. Basically the spacers prevents the strut bottom from sliding back down and resting upon the top of the front strut fork. That junction is what a "clevis" is.

No, I'm talking about their front poly spacers:

here's the page

I'd probably consider the clevis. hey, it's free, right?

I'm looking at the 2.5" suspension lift from Rusty's. I don't know enough about it to tell you what might be different from what you have, if anything at all.

Ah right! I remember seeing those now. I don't think anyone has put that spacer in with the 2.5" coil lift. I asked that question on another thread and never got an answer so I just adjusted the clevis to level it out. Also, I didn't want to compress the front shocks anymore. I liked the way it rode and didn't want the front end to tighten up.

right on. but what you're saying is they probably do the same thing as lifting the clevis? Can you think of any advantage/disadvantage for one or the other?

Sorry, I edited my post before I saw yours. The only thing I didn't want was to compress the spring more by putting that spacer inside. Other than that I think someone mentioned that 3/4" more on top of the 2.5", would put a lot of stress on the CV joint putting them at a more extreme angle.

Here is the link to the other thread about the 3/4" Rusty's spacer. Others have used it to level their stock KJ.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep the cv's in mind when I go to lift. I'm only paying $15 for the spacers now, so it can be level until I can afford the lift and I can level after the lift with the clevis. How much are you considering selling your clevis spacer for?

Watch that CV angle. I would highly suggest NOT combining the Rusty pucks with the coil lift.

That could be a disaster. Read some of the other posts and threads about lifts before doing things like that. Many people have gone with a clevis and the coils, but I'm not sure about spacers and coils.
