Crown Automotive supplies 4.10 Dana 30a Ring & pinion sets (#5066085AA): http://www.crownautomotive.net/catalog/ ... l30FKJ.htm Trailquest has the Crown 4.10 Dana 30a Ring & pinion (#5066085AA) for $216.95 plus shipping: http://www.trailquest.com/axles/KJ_Model30.shtml Troy asked who produced these and the answer appears to be Crown Automotive themselves, not some overseas manufacturer. So how reliable is Crown Automotive's stuff? Here is what Four Wheeler said in one of their JGC builds: "We replaced our original unibearing hubs with a pair from Crown Automotive. We also installed new ball joints sourced from Crown in the steering knuckles. Definitely quality stuff from Crown, not some cheap off-shore knock-off. We have used a lot of Crown's products in the past and have been very pleased with the results. OK, you can't buy directly from Crown, but Quadratec is our supplier." http://www.fourwheeler.com/projectbuild ... index.html Does anybody have any experience (on any kind of rig) with Crown Automotive parts? |

Dan over at GERROFFROAD.com is Our local Crown dealer on This forum. Give him a chance to get you a quote for anything Crown carries. He is a great guy that recently donated some goodies for our Big Bear event raffle. |

Let me see if I can answer your questions for you. Yes crown automotive carries 4:10 gears for the 30a and no they are not made by crown. They are made by dana spicer all gears sold by crown are made by dana spicer so they are made here in america. 90% of crowns parts are made by the same company that made the OEM part which insures the best quality and fit. The remainder is made by crown to oem or better specification. I am a vendor for crown automotive and have also used many of their parts on my personal jeeps as well as customer jeeps and dodge vehicles with out any problems with the products, and the warranty program is top notch. |

Wow, Dan, that is really good to know!!!! Thank you for answering these questions so quickly -- I have been searching online for answers to this with no luck for about the past month!!! You definitely will get a chance from me for anything I need from Crown in the future. I might also hit you up as a raffle sponsor for the LOST ECS next year. |

Yep, I am a dealer as well, but I don't push their stuff enough to make it worth my time, but their quality is what I recommend for oem parts if you don't get them from napa. If you need crown parts, get them from gerroffroad. I will probably call them myself in the near future for a few oem parts I need. |
