It's been about a week since my Frankenlift I install, and my springs in the front especially, make a creeking noise when compressing. I was wondering if anyone else knows what I'm talking about, and if so, how long does it take to break in the new springs or do they ever break in. I also have no extra weight in the front yet; just a tupperware bumper.

I say take it out and flex it a bunch and should setle everything in.
I don't have the Franky but with OMEs etc I have ZERO noise, never have had any. Is it the lift itself or the bushings in the sway bar, you need to tighten them on the ground or sometimes they squeak some

I'm not sure if it's the lift are the bushings now that you mention it. It might very well be that I need to re-tighten the sway bar on the ground, because now that I think about it, I only tightened it while each control arm was suspended by the jack before I put my tire back on. I'm going out to my garage now and see if I can get some more out of the sway bar bolts.

Well it's not the sway bar bushings. I tightened them with a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar and barely got anything else out of em. I WD-40ed evrything I could think of. I guess I'll just give up for now and see if it goes away. It only makes the noise when the front end goes over something like a speed bump. It doesn't sound like anything detrimental to my jeep, it's just there. Might be the springs rubbing against the poly spacers or something. I was just checking to see if someone had a similar experience and fixed it already.

Mine made a bunch of creeking noises for about a month. Now it's quiet.

i still have some noise when going over speed bump type conditions. not a squeek more like a thudish rattle. i believe it's contact between the upper a-arm and the bumper stop they have for it to bump on. so i'm not concerned at all and it's not that bad that i cant live with it.

Park on level ground, loosen all the bolts associated with the anti-sway bar (both ends of the end-links and the mounts to the frame). Then re-tighten them all. Start with the frame and work toward the control arms. I had the same problem with my Rusty's lift until I did this. Might even help to drive a short distance with it all loose to get everything settled at ride height.

Yeah I have that thud too. I figured it was the UCA's hitting the spacer bump stop. I've decided that als a arms will be my next big purchase because of it.

If what KJ Liberty wrote doesn't happen, then I will definitely do this. I guess I'll give it another week or two. Depends on when I feel like getting under there. Sometimes I'm just so darn lazy.

I hear ya. I probably put almost 2000 miles on mine with it squeaking like that. You should tighten everything up after 2-300 miles, though.

Did you get the front end alignment done yet?

Yeah, right after I installed the lift I went and beat up the suspension in a nearby wash then I got it aligned. The alignment guy brought me in to check out his computer. He could get the camber and toe into specs, but he said my caster was backwards from what it should be. He advised me to call jeep and see if they have a caster kit. The only problem with that is it drives perfectly straight already. So whatever "alignment guy", thanks for the good work.
