Well it finally happened; I too have joined the Fancypants Frankenlift club! Installed my gear at me Dad's Porsche shop over the weekend... Here's the obligatory before-and-after shots:

Before: Low and Sad :(

Image

Installling this kit would be hard in your driveway, even with two people.... Built-in poly-pad is doing it's job here at full droop during install:

Image

Looks real close here at full-droop, don't it? they actually don't touch:

Image

After; High and happy! Thought he tires look silly now:

And now with an alignment and with new rubber:

I opted to go with the BFGoodrich km2's, 245/70/17's.. NO RUBBING!!!! Well, no BAD rubbing.. I get a little tire contact on the swaybars at full-lock but it's not bad.... I have some Spider-Trac 1.25's I'll throw on..... These tires have not been out long, but the feedback I have read has been positive. People have mentioned that they are fairly quiet and that road noise equalls that of an All-Terrain tire, but I would not have any way of really knowing since I have never owned Mud Tires or AT's, but I find them actually to be quite loud, especially though the 30-40mph range, with alot of road feedback. On the freeway going 65 to 70 the road noise diminishes substiantially and is not bad at all. But I almost turned right around from Discount Tire on the way home to exchange them for an AT, but since they give a 30 day ride garauntee, I figure I'll drive them around a couple of weeks and see if they break-in or soften up a bit... I hope they do, cus they look awesome.

Please please please post how well these tires hold up, how you like them on and off road and how much did they run you anyway. I am going to probably get them for my next set of tires. Those or the Irok NDs. Thanks.

Lookin' good!! Very good!! Now all you need is a winch, front and rear bumpers, lockers and a roof rack. Dang, this habit is expensive.

Nice setup!!!

In the post pic with the stocker tires, it looks like the front is slightly higher than the rear ... does it need to settle some?

pre alignment pic I would assume, it will look higher before that was done, also if they tightened the UCAs all the way it would take a few miles for them ( and plus the lift) to settle in.

How much lift did you actually gain?? That looks about 4" at the least.

Yes, post alignment and driving around on it a bit the front definately settled over the course of just 24 hours..... The A-arms don't have much give when they are installed but I think they are loosening a bit..... The whole thing is very creaky at the moment; I guess the front and rear Springs have a bit of settling to do still...

Oh, and I have heard alot of mention about the need to cut out the pockets for the A-arms, but we did not find this necessary at all as there seemed to be ample room for them to move about...

I will post updates, probably in the tire forum, as these settle in over the next couple of weeks....They are friggin' solid as hell, I can tell you that much.... Discount Tire charged me ~$1080.00 for the set of 5, including tax, installation, and disposal of old $hitty tires... :)
