1. Rugged construction meets Hi-Lift Jack specifications for Strength & Durability.
2. Use the Hi-Lift Off-Road Base to alleviate jack sinkage on soft ground.

I have one. Won it in a raffle, never used it...then again, hardly ever used my hi-lift either.

It looks like it would be a pretty good idea to have one. I've seen the Hi-Lift slip and slide, so I think this would take care of 90% of those issues. I might have to buy one. 8) Hopefully, it's a one-size-fits-all.

I have one of the bases. Haven't used it yet. IIRC, though, there's something on the packaging that says it only prevents the jack from sinking into soft ground and doesn't increase its stability at all. The indent where the jack fits into the base is relatively shallow, so it won't keep the jack from tipping if you let it get out of vertical.

I have the base but haven't used it very much. It did work in a muddy situation once, the original base kept sinking. Just make sure you tie a rope to the corner hole before you jack in mud so you can retrieve the base after jacking. You may also need to pry up on the corner with a shovel (mud suction). Here is another accessory I have used with the Highlift, even around home to jack out bushes and fence poles. http://www.bc4x4.com/quick/2002/jackmate/ :D

Funny thing. I have one too. I found it tucked under the rear seat. Not sure if the original owner left it for me or forgot it? Finder's keeper's. I am going to buy a Hi-Lift jack.
