Recovery points are not something to go cheap on. Find some used ones for sale otherwise, fork over the cash. |

If you are willing to do the work and can find the parts, the thread 501 showed you is another alternative route but if you are getting a bumper, I'd wait for it and not spend any money on the hooks or home made setup. The bumper should have a couple recovery points on it, at least one anyway, and there you go. |

I have pulled a truck from its front axle. Definitely not recommended though, it was a must move now type of deal. No way I'd pull from the a arms. Not sure what to tell you... don't get stuck. |

tow hooks only, do not use A arms, rear axle housing or anywhere like that. Do you have a rear hitch if so use it, if not like inc stated do not get stuck, best advice stay at the end of the trail, better for you and everyone else HERE YOU GO FRONT TOW HOOKS 35 BUCKS AT daveysjeeps.com they are in Salem Ohio great to deal with |

So let's explore our options, shall we? A: in the likely event you get stuck, you get pulled out by the lower control arm, and damage it. LCA costs more than $200. B: in the likely event you get stuck, you get pulled out by a guy with an overzealous right foot, the cheap "I didn't want to spend $200" hook comes off of the KJ, and goes through his back window and winds up in the back of his head. Death costs more than $200.. C: in the likely event you get stuck, you have a strap looped around your factory-designed recovery hook, and you are pulled out properly and safely. $200 well spent. Seems like a no-brainer to me? |

Does anyone know where to get a set of rear mopar tow hooks that will ship to canada? I have front tow hooks, can when I bought my liberty. Had to use them for the first time the other day, pulling my buddies 87 YJ out. |
