Is anybody running thier hi-lift mounted to the spare tire carrier (stock) somehow? I was pondering a way to do this, wondering if anyone has tackled this one as of yet.

I keep mine under the rear seat. Base end on the drivers side and slide it in.

Any problems folding the seat down while it's there?

i keep my under the rear seat also, 48" seats fold down without an issue, it does hang out a bit on each end but dosen't get in any way. Fits pretty good actually.

I know all about roof rack and under seat mounting. I am looking for a spare tire carrier solution.

Ah, the thread-hijacker virus strikes again!

What about lookin at the many spare tire mounted bike carriers that are out there? I was looking into using one for carrying a jerry can and a shovel.... short of getting something fabed up custom, I dont know if there is really anything else out there.....???

check out this PDF - scroll to the "XP tire mount rack" - I was thinking of picking one up similar to this.... http://www.actiontrucks.com/pdf/cargo4.pdf
