today the roads are icy and just sucks here so i decide to do my winter stuff to my r6. so i put the jeep in 4 hi which is only part time which is a bummer, but anyways as i would drive all i could hear was clicking which sounds like it try to lock in for some reason. thought maybe i didnt do something right and tried again. same thing. i then tried 4 lo and still have the same problem. could something just be loose? let me know thanks |

It sounds like it might be a cv shaft. |

Don't tell me you drove on the highway with 4LO.....or even in the city!! Part-time should only be used when you can't see the asphalt. I hope you didn't crack the front diff or break your t-case. |

Sounds like it could be a bad cv on the front driveshaft. How many miles are on the kj? |

Maby to clarify..on my 04, 4High lights up "part time" on the dash. 4LO lights up "full time" on the dash. 4 high should be ok up to about 35-40 MPH TOPS. |

If it lights up full time in 4low then youve got a bad sensor on your tcase. And yea, its not a good idea to go very fast with it in 4hi. You need to the wheels to slip while in 4hi and if its slick enough to allow them to slip you dont need to be going that fast. |
