Me and my friends were looking into doing the clevis lift and we found this

Looks like the clevis lift fairy did half the work for you!! LOL!! Just do the passenger side.

Is the picture of the driver side right it looks like their is a lip on the strut that the clevis is sitting on the guy at the 4x4 shop says that is how it is supposed to be. And that the passenger side the strut has fallen down.

What is right and what is wrong here?

The driver's side look correct (stock) height to me. And the passenger has slipped past the lip that you mentioned.

So in answer to your questions:

Yes, there is a lip on the shock/strut.
Driver's side looks to be sitting as it should be for stock height.
To do a clevis lift, you should raise the Driver's side 3/8" beyond the lip.
Fix the Passenger side and raise it 3/8" past the lip too.

On a stock suspension the Clevis fork rests directly below the lip. thats on every KJ. guarantee the fork sliped over the lip on the other side. Move em and torque them down to about 100lb.

I took the bolt out of the clevis and could not get my passenger side clevis back in place when i put the bolt back on It snapped. I had a bolt the right size and it had the same threads I took my jeep to Firestone because i have a CC with them. They told me the bolt pulled the threads and they would not work on my jeep.
do I need to get this fixed or am i fine

Sounds like not so nice a place if they said they wouldn't work on your Jeep? If you snapped the bolt I would say you have to replace it, it's there for a reason. If the threads are pulled out you'll have to replace it or drill and tap for the next size bolt make sure it's the correct grade.

I have a new bolt in it they said they were pulled when they looked at it and said no go.
I just want to know if i should get a new strut or take it some where and have them try and move the clevis back and get it aligned or drive as is til i get a frankenlift next year it drives good and looking at it i looks level

the bolt and the celvis tightens still. when I took the clevis lose I couldnt get it to slide down so i tightend the bolt up and it snapped. I got the old bolt out and put a new one in. I dont think the treads are screwed up I think the guy didnt want to work on a lifted jeep he was one of those "Oh Its lifted well...." kinda dudes.

If nothing else I would take it apart and check it out really good, do not want to be having it come loose somewhere out on a trail. Better safe than sorry
