How much does a replacement diff from jeep cost? Would people buy a replacement stronger diff if it cost twice as much or even 3 times as much as the replacement diff for a stronger diff case? In order to build a replacement diff housing, would you need more than three circles in the right place with the right size? What else would be necessary for the design? I'm just curious. |

My dealer quoted me $587.00 for a new front housing, W/Tax a little over $600.00. |

We now have more options from junkyards from totaled ones. I am interested in retrofitting a WK steel dana 30 for the IFS into the KJ. |

"Would people buy a replacement stronger diff if it cost twice as much or even 3 times as much as the replacement diff for a stronger diff case?" I would rather pay that money toward a SFA and be done with it! Now if a real, Usable, Strong 4-5" lift/front suspension (no dang cradle style drops) that would fit 33's and live while wheeling came along to go with a Tough front diff that could hold up to 4.88's..... ![]() Of course then you would need to get a rear diff that could hold 4.88's too... sorry for that run on sentence..... ![]() |

So I take it no one has tried to put a used steel IFS diff in the front? Maybe from a wrecked 2005 Grand Cherokee? |
