Does any one knows how to remove this??

I have the 03 manual but mine is 05 and pics from rear part are different, (UJoint) between shaft and rear diff.
The manual says "Remove U-joint strap bolts at the pinion shaft yoke." but there are no "straps"

Thanks in advance

When I took my rear drive shaft off it just had 4 bolts that I took out and that was that.

It just bolts up to that flange on the pinion.

You can see one of the bolts in this pic:

I would use lock-tite when you put the bolts back in. I used blue myself..

OK, I didn't say before, but I need to change the cross, that's why I asked this, I don't want to remove the shaft from the diff.

Yes, you are rigth with the 2nd picture, but how can I remove the cross from the complete assy.??

In the 03 manual indicate to remove the strap to remove the shaft from the yoke and let the 2 bearing caps free, but in 05 there is no strap, so the 4 bearings are assemblied.

I don't want to figure out by myself, untill somebody that already did this, can confirm the rigth way to do this

I see, so is quite similar but you need to press the bearing caps from both sides and not just 1, I will try this

I will let you know any problem on this (I hope not to have any)

Thanks to all for your comments!!!
