I currently have a RRO 2.5" OTT lift and my front shocks are shot so it is time to replace them. I am strongly considering the OME front struts/springs as a replacement, however I have heard/read that the OME give 1" lift, 1.5" lift, 2" lift....... I keep getting different answers. I want to keep my current ride height, especially since I am not looking to change out the rear lift, and I wan't to keep the Liberty level front to back. Can anyone confirm the actual lift gained from the OME front strut? And if the lift is less than 2.5" what would your suggestions be for leveling the lift out with the rear end?, clevis?, smaller OTT?....... Any other alternative positive experiences with a 2.5" front lift instead of going with the OME? Or should I just replace the shocks on the stock strut with Ranchos and keep the 2.5" OTT? well first get rid of the OTT thats why your struts are shot. the only good thing the ott can be used for is a paper weight and I gained 2.5" with my OME HD coils and then I did a 3 ring clevis which made it 3" of lift when it was all settled. I wouldnt go any other way than OME, its skimpily the best there is for the KJ |

DO NOT keep the OTT unless you want to keep replacing struts there is a ton of info on here regarding the questions you have asked. As far as lift given by OME it will give you 2.5 to 3 inches, I would assume that your springs are pretty much toast and since you have the rear lift , you can get 2 OME 927s for the front $140 or so 2 rancho RSX 17505 for 160 or there abouts Teraflex bumpstop part # 0019301200 16 or 18 each 6 electrical conduit nuts for 2 or 3 bucks and have a great setup much better ride etc you can read more through the various posts but that takes care of the front, rear hope you have longer shocks back there???? I just looked at your cardomain and since you have an ARB bumper you REALLY need OME HD coils to keep it from sagging |

jsc, Thats why you beat me posting, I checked it out  I am surprised that you have not blown more out with the bumper and stock springs, it must ride bad by now.
Also check your upper control arms now as they maybe toast after running that suspension. Thats what an OTT will do go through struts and Upper ball joints. |

The ARB Bumper was just installed, with the struts already shot. And this is why I am leaning heavily towards the OME HD front struts and springs. I was just needing some confirmation/information on how to acheive the 2.5" lift with the OME struts to keep the truck looking level. Thanks for the responses, now that I know 2.5" is easily achievable with the OME that is definately the way I am going to go. So will I need to add anything, or will the OME HD strut and spring give me the 2.5" with out adding a clevis? |

it doesnt matter when the bumper was installed thath thing weighs 85# its killing your suspensions now, if it were me there would be any options for the coils, OME HD is made to support a bumper and winch so you know it will hold up that bumper without sagging really bad like you will be shortly. I would do OME HD coils (OME 927), and Rancho RSX17505 and a 3 ring clevis and you should be around 3" for the strut I bought mine from Summit racing for $100 each and the coils I bought from www.dpgoffroad.com and you just need to call him (Dirk) and say you would like the OME 927 and he will get them to you. his number is 316-776-9900 and dont forget the terraflex bumpstops like Tom said |

What would be the point in upgrading the front suspension and leaving a spacer in the rear? Go OME MD's or HD's in the rear while you're at it...it's what, a whole $150? What shocks are you running out back? For not even another $400 you could un-half-ass your lift, and have a much better driving vehicle. |

If I'm not mistaken JBA coils are made by Eibach and guaranteed not to loose their rating for life, I have them front and rear. |

One last question for you guys, thanks again for all your help. Just looking for confirmation that with the Rancho RSX 17505 strut and OME 927 coils that I can re-use the factory strut mounts and do not need to use a Daystar strut mount instead in order to achieve the 2.5" lift. I have been calling around to price everything out, and 1 of the places I called was pretty sure I would need the daystar strut mounts or I would not achieve the desired heigt. Looking to confirm that they are not correct. |

I am using the stock top mount RSX 17505s / OME 927s and no problems and have over 2.5 inches of lift Just because they have 4Wheel Drive in their name or advertise that they work on 4 Wheel Drives it does not mean they know everything about every vehicle, granted it will help some but not needed |
