I have been having a problem that seems to be getting progressively worse. When the Jeep is at idle the oil light will come on. The kicker is it only does it after driving a while. as soon as the RPMs come up past idle it goes out, whether it be from pulling out somewhere or giving it a quick hit on the throttle. The level is good, I check it frequently. like I said though, over the past couple of months it's been happening more often. At first I though maybe the sending unit was bad but I would think that it wouldn't be RPM specific. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the oil pump is going bad (I hope not.) Any ideas? |

99% chance it's a bad sender. Just went through the exact same symptoms. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=38524 |

Awesome, thanks a lot. I should have looked around a little before posting but I thought "what are the odds that there is a recent enough post to find about it?" |

Stupid question. Have you checked your oil level? |
