Im looking into getting a whole set of them for the jeep and was wondering how everyone liked thiers and if it has helped out with anything. Right now my jeep has no lift, is that still ok to have them? or would I want a lift? Just thinkin and tryin to get some opinions/ideas/info about them. thanks |

I got them just because I like the way they look. They probably help with stability on off-camber stuff, but I haven't really noticed. If you install spacers (or get wheels with less backspacing), you'll probably need to cut away a bunch of plastic from the wheel well. |

yes you'll need to beat down the pinch welds in front.. nothing in back. i had my spacers on with stock tires/wheels/height. |

Yes without a lift you will need to knock down the front pinch welds due to it changing the arc in which the tire moves as you turn, its moving it outward 1.25 inches which is just enough that you maybe have problems. I ran them for 2500 miles and could tell no difference in handling at all, didn't really like the looks of them on from the rear so sold them. |

they are behind the plastic wheel well so you need to cut the plastic a little bit and its easiest if you use a big hammer but I was able to pound mine using a roofing hammer. they are located towards the body in the wheel well |

I have a set of 4 spidertrax spacers I ran for a couple of months, Bought new wheels with offset, they are like new. I also have the Rocky Road 2.5" budget lift system, Had to go with the OME HD suspension with the new front bumper. Just remember that with spacers you will now have 40 lugnuts to keep tight.Better to get different rims with just a little less BS,4" of BS(16x7/15x7 rims only) is the best for a KJ for the least amount of rub. But if you must use spacers use a high quality spacer like SpiderTrax,the other are junk,and check with the local law to make sure they are legal also. |

well the law says I can use them and I dont want to get new rims bc that would cost more $$$$. I want to keep my old rims untill I have money to get new ones. And i have 245's so would there still be alot of rubbing? |

depending on the wheels you get there isn't that much price difference, two pairs of spidertrax spacers will be $200 and if you get the cragar soft 8 wheels for $300...its gone up a little bit since I got wheels. but what you are talking about doing is spending $200 now and then down the road spend $300 just to do the same thing, where if you just wait and save you will only have to pay once

well here's the other thing. I got my tires not long ago and I want to keep them, and with soft 8's I would have to get new tires bc the 8's dont come in a 17" rim and thats what I have now. |

I had a 245/70/16 & spidertrax setup for a while before I got my lift. The pinchweld was pounded down and the inside of the fenders were hacked off and I still had rubbing issues in tight turning situations (fwd and reverse) but it was tolerable. Even now after the lift, in backwards tight turnings I have an unidentifiable crunching sound..which hopefully i think is just more fender ripping off  I'd say go for it! I can't even imagine going back to that top-heavy feeling pre-spacers.
