Anybody know the actual size of this rack? It seems most after markets are around 39" x 42" but I would like something a bit wider and longer. I want to fill the area between the side rails and wouldn't mind it being as long as the rails either. something around 4" high also. Not interested in that giant MOAB rack. |

I know you wanted to know about the Jeep one but it sits on top of the rails , if you want it between the stock rails then 39 is the width in the rear, front is wider of course. mines (it's a BMG) is 39 inches wide and it just fits between the rails in the rear, also 4 inches high |

thanks Tom, I don't mind sitting on top of the rails. Most racks just look too skinny to me when mounted to crossbars with inches of space between the rack and side rails. |

know what you mean, problem is the way our roof is, get one say looking good in the front then it is 4 inches wider in the rear and sticking way over the sides. I had one that was 46 iches wide looked pretty good in the front but the rear looked real bad. May just have to build/ buy a custom one |

or just say the he77 with it and get a Black Widow. I just need something to haul luggage when I take the kids to and from college. probably going to get a trailer hitch rack as well for the same reason. Might actually convince me to go camping more too! BTW, do you know if the OEM racks are tapered to match the rails or is there hangover with those too? |
