hit a trail tonight and when I engaged 4lo when I started moving forward we heard a loud noise come from the front of the drivetrain. The same also happens in reverse. It's happened a few times in the past, but i barely ever go into 4lo so i never minded it before, it doesnt happen in 4hi or part time, also i haven't changed the oil in the front diff or t-case and my kj's at 30k.

Probably not engaged in 4low good. Pull back on the handle nice and hard while its in N. While still holding back on the handle, put it in D or R. It also helps if youre rolling 2-3mph.

If it doesnt pop eight in then you may have something wrong.
