Is there any height difference between the different levels of franky lifts? Also, has anyone gone franky with the ome crd coils on a gasser? I think the sprints on the franky are the ome hd, so 450lbs spring rate right? and the crd are what 500? so other than a stiffer ride, any more height? or just a bad idea? |

Are you getting an aftermarket bumper and winch? I think you would be fine with the regular Frankenlift with the Heavy Duty coils (OME 927) which are 400 LB where as OME CRD coils (OME790) are 500 LB no real difference in height, just in Rancho -vs- OME shocks which do not effect the height you get |

I figured if I do go franky, I will go with the base franky. So there would be no height difference between the ome hd and the ome crd springs? |

I wouldnt get the CRD coils unless you have a bumper AND a winch, but you could if you really wanted to, but I would buy the cheapest Franky there is, which I think is the one that comes with Ranchos all around. |

The CRD Frankenlift is not as tall due to the CVs if I remember correctly |

in the long term, I will be getting a bumper and a winch, so being able to support them would be nice. |

would the crd lift cause harm to the gasser kj if you did not do the do the bumper and winch right away.... because i have been thinking about the same thing |

If I were you guys I wouldn't even consider the CRD springs. I have the gasser HD coils and I wish I would have gotten the medium ones now because the HD's are just too stiff for a stock bumper, and it'll be a while before I get a bumper and wench. Plus the HD's lift my front end so high that there is hardly any room for droop, so my UCA's hit my spring bumpstops all the time. If you plan on getting a bumper and wench soon after the lift, then I would suggest just getting the HD coils. That's my experience with the franky anyway, maybe someone else has had better results with HD coils and a tupperware bumper. |

you are the first I have heard say that they wish they would have gotten the MD. I would just stick with the HD, when I add a winch I dont plan on changing out coils, Ill just have to add a little something to make up for it, but no big deal. |

2006 KJ swapped his front HD's for CRD coils and regained some of his heigth back. My front HD springs has dropped a little more than I expected with the ARB bumper and M8000 winch. Once I get my RL rear bumper installed, then I will reassess everything and decide what to do. There's always a chance that I might go with the CRD coils in the front. |

so whats the difference in height/lift between a Franky with medium springs or just a set of HD springs? |

I thought the Frankenlift only came with HD, if you can get MD you would be a little lower than one with the HD bc the coil rating is less. the HD will not give you a hard or harsh ride. |

the HD springs will in fact give you what i believe is the best ride possible from your jeep liberty. |

Course, then again, maybe it's all that added weight of the front hitch that makes the OME HD ride bearable All this being said, I DO have the old, red Skyjacker coils out back...so I can't comment on OME HDs in the rear |

I'm thinking of yanking the spacer up front that came with the franky and replacing it with my stock iso. I could stand to lose an inch up front, I think that would make it ride better. |

Within the context of your bumper and winch, you're saying that your OME CRD coils DO NOT ride as good as your HD's. Meaning, if you could do it all over again, would you have kept your HD’s and added conduit nuts or other lift combinations to regain your height? |
