Sway bar quick disconnects?

Post subject:  Sway bar quick disconnects?
Do quick disconnects exist for the liberty? front or rear? Anyone find that taking off there swaybars makes much of a real difference on the trail?

They don't exist for the rear, our sway bar is mounted directly to the LCA's. Just pull it off myself and a number of people here have with no ill effect to handling. JKS makes some for the front, but I don't personally like them because of the extra CV angles at full droop, the front end is already the week spot on the KJ.

Good to know, I might tear them off this weekend if I get board :) As for the front, I alwayse thought the week part was the lack fold down screens, and weak factory radios.... guess I'm hanging out with the wrong scene though :wink: :roll:

I've wondered about the same issue but it's true that that darn IFS makes it unwise to disconnect the front trackbar. If you take out the rear trackbar you should put on limiting straps to prevent losing a coil when the suspension is fuller extended.

Dunno, maybe just to be safe. But I've had one corner of my rear fully stuffed, and the other spring was seated just fine. So I'm not worried about popping one.

No need for limit straps. Even a lifted KJ can't get this kind of crazy flex:

only rubicon express can give you that kinda flex :twisted:

i had the quick disco's but couldnt take the clunking so i sent them back. even after the washer fix mine clunked.

I've taken my washers off for ease of removal for wheelin'. I really don't mind the noise vs the pain of taking the washers off.
